Intro
Bridging Business Goals and User-Centered Solutions
At the outset, the project was primarily driven by business objectives, with a clear focus on meeting immediate marketing goals. However, by conducting thorough research and analyzing similar marketing tools, I uncovered valuable insights into market trends, user behavior, and industry best practices. These findings informed a more user-centered approach, allowing me to align the business requirements with an optimized user experience.
During the ideation stage, I developed an initial user flow accompanied by conceptual wireframes designed to address the core business needs while also enhancing usability. This foundational work provided a clear structure for the project and served as a springboard for collaboration. The user flow and wireframes underwent multiple rounds of refinement through iterative feedback sessions with product managers (PMs) and the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). These iterations ensured that the final flow chart not only met business requirements but also delivered a seamless, intuitive experience tailored to the target audience. This iterative approach laid the groundwork for a polished and effective solution.
Ensuring Cross-Media Compatibility for a Seamless User Experience
To ensure the design was fully compatible across various media types, the flowchart underwent multiple iterations to seamlessly integrate with the video-based content. Videos played a pivotal role in representing the EP brand, showcasing its signature style, lifestyle appeal, and the ambiance of its products. By prioritizing video as the central media format, the design was refined to highlight these visual assets effectively, creating an immersive and cohesive experience that aligned with both brand identity and user expectations. This approach ensured that the kiosk not only conveyed essential product information but also captured the aspirational lifestyle associated with the EP brand.
The integration of built-in automatic video playback and music during periods of kiosk inactivity was a deliberate design decision to enhance user engagement in the showroom's static environment. Videos and music were carefully curated to align with the EP brand's aspirational lifestyle and ambiance, reinforcing brand identity while capturing attention.
This dynamic feature serves as a strategic touchpoint, leveraging motion and sound to draw visitors into the EP area, even from a distance. By creating a multisensory experience, the design not only makes the kiosk more noticeable but also sets a welcoming tone for interaction. This approach encourages spontaneous exploration of EP product features and information, thereby increasing dwell time and fostering a stronger connection with potential customers. The result is a measurable impact on lead generation and conversion rates, underscoring the effectiveness of incorporating engaging media to enhance the user journey.
Tailored User Experience with Segmented Flows and Immersive Tools
The interface design begins by guiding users through a three-segment selection process to ensure the flow aligns with the specific needs and interests of distinct customer groups. This segmentation approach personalizes the experience, allowing the system to automatically filter and present the most relevant models and collections tailored to the user’s preferences. Features for each recommendation are carefully curated and displayed to resonate with the priorities and aspirations of each segment, maximizing engagement and interest.
To further enhance user interaction and decision-making, I integrated a built-in virtual reality (VR) tool, enabling users to visualize how selected products would look and feel in their own backyard. This immersive feature bridges the gap between conceptual browsing and practical application, helping users form a stronger emotional connection with the product.
Additionally, we explored advanced functionalities by working on a seamless connection tool that integrates the kiosk interface with the user’s smartphone. This upgrade not only enhances the VR experience by offering mobile interactivity but also provides a more cohesive and flexible user journey. These thoughtful innovations collectively elevate the showroom experience, ensuring it is both intuitive and memorable while driving conversion.

Post-Production Success and Impact Analysis
The EP touch screen kiosk project was a holistic and collaborative effort that demanded careful coordination across multiple teams. From the early design phases to post-launch analysis, every step was meticulously planned and executed. The iterative process involved refining the user interface and experience design, adapting the software for seamless functionality with engineering constraints, and selecting hardware that complemented both the technical requirements and the aesthetic goals of the brand. Material choices were intentionally made to ensure the kiosk not only functioned flawlessly but also maintained a premium and cohesive presence in the showroom.
The final product successfully combined cutting-edge technology and intuitive design to create an engaging and effective marketing tool. By leveraging features such as segmentation-based flows, filtered product recommendations, and interactive virtual reality tools, the kiosk provided a tailored experience for users. These innovations ensured that potential customers could explore EP products at their own pace while staying captivated by the brand’s lifestyle and ambiance. The incorporation of automatic videos and music when the kiosk was idle further elevated its presence, attracting attention in an otherwise static showroom environment and increasing foot traffic to the EP area.
The post-launch feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with users praising the kiosk for its ease of use and engaging experience. The ability to capture high-quality leads directly from the showroom proved to be a game-changer for the marketing team. Leads were immediately funneled into nurturing campaigns, reducing response time and increasing the likelihood of conversion.
When analyzing the impact of the kiosk, the results were remarkable. A direct comparison of showroom performance before and after the launch showed a significant increase in key metrics. Conversion rates soared, and the number of units sold reached record highs. The kiosk not only improved operational efficiency but also elevated the overall customer journey, offering a seamless blend of technology and human-centered design.
This project stands as a testament to the power of iterative design, cross-disciplinary collaboration, and user-focused innovation. The EP touch screen kiosk set a new standard for showroom marketing tools, solidifying its role as a critical driver of business success and brand engagement.
